An impressive Listed, 300 year old, Barn Conversion in the Cotswolds which we have completely renovated and redesigned from its initial conversion some 10 years ago.
This barn is over 10,000 sqft and unusually has a large 2,500 sqft basement which is built underneath the rear garden/patio area.
When our client purchased the Barn we set about redesigning the whole scheme, as it had not been designed or built well and required us to look at every aspect. This ended up including excavating the entire basement and re-tanking this as it was built very poorly, redesigning the entire home and removing all internal finishes as well as demolishing recently built sections of the property (as again this was poorly designed and built).
This has been designed and configured to be a large entertaining/party house for when our clients who are regulars at the Cheltenham Races with their own race horses or for when their guests are visiting them in The Cotswolds. So the 7 bedroom en-suites were key to achieving this as well as a very large, 18 seat Banqueting Hall, complete with large fireplace and vaulted ceilings, large party/bar area, large 18 seat cinema as well as several key social/lounge areas.
We designed and obtained planning, for a new double sided Main Entrance which not only gave the entrance to this property the impressiveness it deserved but also formed a key element to the newly improved internal layout, as well as sitting perfectly within the complete Landscape redesign.
The large Landscape Design included extensive groundworks/lawns/planting areas and numerous trees, it also included adding a new main entrance / gates as well as a new helicopter landing area for when our client flies down to the house.
A new 20m outside swimming pool is the final addition which will complete this project for us later this year.
